A few weeks ago the bathroom ceiling finally decided to cave after leaking on and off the entire time we've lived in this apartment, so I cut out the wet sheetrock to help it dry out.

Upon further investigation it was discovered that the joint of this vent pipe had never been properly glued, so early last week I spent an afternoon up in the attic fixing the source of the problem.

Then it was time to repair the ceiling.

As per usual, things had to get worse before getting better.

And this is what we have today. Just need to put another coat of mud on, stipple the ceiling, and then paint.
