Yuck...

I hate being sick. Granted, I should count myself a lucky one since I am rarely ill but this week I was reminded of how lucky I usually am.

I came home from church on Sunday and spent the whole afternoon and evening laying around. I actually wasn't feeling too bad - just a slight cold - except for the nasty headache I got from the cough candies I had consumed to get me through church (my food sensitivities result in headaches and I should have known that there was nothing in cough candies that was good for me). So I stepped up my defense with the more natural route of oregano oil, vitamin C, soup, greens/multivitamin shake, echinacea tea, and lots of prayer from Carrie.

Monday morning I got up and was feeling a bit better so I went on with my day of meetings. By Monday evening I knew I had overdone it.

Tuesday I slept all day and all night. My fever spiked at 102.2F

(For some reason Carrie thinks it's cute when I curl up in the sun for a nap.)

Wednesday I did a bit of homework in between naps, but laid low.

Today I'm finally feeling a bit more like myself. I managed to go to class this morning and go for a walk to the grocery store this afternoon. With the incredibly warm temperatures outside the last couple of days, I could only handle being cooped up for so long.

I think I have the best roommate in the whole world. Even when she's completely busy with her most hectic semester to date, she found time to make me soup, get me extra blankets, run to the grocery store for more tea, and just all around take care of me. Oh, and she bought me these to help me feel better:

Now we're just praying that Carrie doesn't get sick.

I'm sorry you were/are sick! I'm like you...don't get sick often but am reminded every couple years how not fun it is! Glad you're starting to feel better.
