Well, that was a whirlwind trip to Manitoba and back. Carrie and I jumped in our car last Sunday after church and made it to Altona by mid-afternoon on Monday, after stopping in Minnesota for the night. Tuesday was a day full of appointments in Winnipeg and we couldn't believe how we were able to make it from one place to the next with no delays and actually ended up getting more done than we had anticipated. The next day I was in Winnipeg again for a few more appointments. Thursday was a homework day and I actually managed to finish one of my papers. I attended the Good Friday service with Carrie and her parents at her home church on Friday. The afternoon brought frantic paper writing (the paper didn't get done, that's on the to do list for today) and then in the evening I went and hung out with my sister and brother-in-law who also live in Altona. Saturday and Sunday I hung out with my siblings, including my brother who was out for the weekend. I don't know how long it's been since I've been able to relax the way I did at Niki and Nathan's place (a BIG thanks to you guys!). Sunday evening we packed up the car and then headed back to Elkhart on Monday morning. Carrie and I actually managed to make the 16 hour drive all in one day and we arrived back in Elkhart at about 2:15am. Well, that my very brief spring break review. Now I need to get to the unpacking and start on my homework.
