Christmas Decorating
Apparently putting up your Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving is too soon in the US. Last week I broke down and bought some Christmas decorations - one small tree for the apartment and one small tree for my office. There's just something about having your place decoarated for Christmas once it's white outside. Today a few people saw the tree in my office and said, "Christmas decorations, already?!" I didn't think the the end of November was any too soon to put up decorations, but apparently around here people decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. You learn something new every day.

We have a family in our church who have relatives in the US and they said the same thing. They were quite surprised at how quickly everyone switched from Thanksgiving to Christmas that first day after th'giving.
