Beyond words...

As I returned home today from an extraordinary weekend retreat at the Hermitage, I wanted to sit with my journal and write everything down but I found myself at a loss for words. I decided to paint instead. I've titled it Opening to Grace, which was the retreat's title.



There are no words for the deepest things. Words become feeble when mystery visits and prayer moves into silence….The best words are born in the fecund silence that minds the mystery.
