Life of late...

I realize that it's been a while since I've posted an update on here! The last month has been full with my parents visiting for a week, my sister, brother-in-law and nephew here for another week, a trip to Indiana at the beginning of June, and a couple of weekends helping out at the Martens farm. This weekend it feels like I'm finally catching up here at home! Life is good. Work is going well and I'm so grateful to have full-time employment. In terms of ministry opportunities I have a few things on the horizon but for the most part feel very comfortable right now with this being a period of watching and waiting to see where I may be called. I was invited to present in a class at CMU a couple of weeks ago which was being taught by one of my former AMBS professors and it felt so good to dive back into the world of pastoral care for a couple of hours one afternoon. I continue editing for that same professor and we are moving toward the final stages of completing the book I've been assisting with on-and-off for the past two years. Summer is officially here now and I have been enjoying being able to bike the 10km to work on a path that takes me by the Assiniboine forest, through Assiniboine park, and along the river - I couldn't have asked for a better route! Carrie and I have been taking Tai Chi classes on Saturday mornings which has been a fun learning experience - we have our last class this week. Plans for summer include getting outside to do some yard work on the Martens farm as time allows, surviving the building renovation at work, and seeing my baby brother get married in August. I'm looking forward to what will hopefully be a quiet and relaxing summer. Here are some pictures from my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew's visit. We took one evening to go out to Steinbach to hang out with my brother and sister-in-law to be. Love hanging out with my siblings!
