Weekend away...

This weekend Carrie and I got off the "compound" and took a short trip down to southern Indiana. I promised Carrie a trip to some waterfalls for a grad present and we decided to make a weekend out of it. Destination: Cataract Falls State Park, IN. We stayed two nights in Cloverdale and took in several State parks in the area.

We left on Friday after I was done work and Carrie finished her Yoder paper, and stopped in Kokomo for supper at Half Moon Brewery and Restaurant. The food was EXCELLENT and we couldn't believe how fast it was - almost faster than fast food! The leftover beef brisket and pulled pork made excellent sandwiches the next day (yes, we're still seminary students doing everything - including vacationing - on a strict budget!)

The hotel in Cloverdale, about 4 hours from Elkhart

The view from our room - Carrie thought it was perfect for me!

On Saturday morning we headed to Leiber State Park, just a few miles down the road, before checking out Cataract Falls.
